Our founders got the amazing chance to visit King's College to deliver a guest lecture to an MBA class. Prof. Abhinav Karki invited them to present Pyari's work and talk about Pyari's strategy as a new endeavour in Nepal as part of his Strategy course. The MBA students engaged in lively Q&A during the highly interactive session, which left the team with insightful knowledge and an incredible learning experience.

An Intergenerational Menstrual Event" was organized at Ne Nepal by Pyari and Pad2Go. This event promoted connections based on common experiences by showcasing the varied experiences of menstruators at various phases of their life. Through an insightful workshop presented by OB-GYN Dr. Shreyashi Aryal, we focused on menopause, a topic that is sometimes ignored in menstrual conversations.

Pyari Team spent the evening discussing their summer work with investors, students, and entrepreneurs from Yale and elsewhere. Connecting with so many committed changemakers and sharing our vision for inclusive sexual and reproductive health education was amazing.

Pyari recently travelled to Bajura with Shreeya Rokaya as part of her “Back to My Roots” campaign for the YESS (Youth Exchange South to South) Girls Movement 2024, a global effort by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. During a 5-day workshop trip, the team visited various local government schools and women’s villages in Budhinanda Municipality to increase awareness about menstrual health and hygiene.

Pyari explored every stage of the menstrual cycle under the guidance of Dr. Sweta Bhandari, learning about the effects each stage has on our bodies and thoughts. While Pyari's program explored the fundamentals of menstruation, from cycle charting to menopause, Soma Wellness fostered introspection and connection through sound healing, breathwork, body awareness, and tea-tasting.

Pyari conducted The Vag Decoded, an online webinar focused on vulvovaginal health, creating a safe and engaging virtual space for participants to explore a topic that is often overlooked or stigmatized. The session was facilitated by pelvic health physiotherapist Mahima Tiwari, who guided participants through important discussions around anatomy, body awareness, and self-acceptance.

In Jhapa, Pyari arranged a community workshop on menstrual health and cleanliness. Through interactive Q&A sessions and a drama-based activity, the program engaged over 150 participants, including men, women, and children, and created a safe and powerful space for open discussion of menstruation. The session was a big step in the direction of increasing awareness and bringing about long-lasting change in Jhapa.

Pyari organised “Paila Pailama Katha,” a heritage walk in Kathmandu designed to uncover hidden stories, forgotten matriarchs, and unique cultural expressions across the city. Participants explored living traditions, historical narratives, and artistic sculptures, including often-overlooked erotic art, through an engaging, informative, and immersive experience. The walk aimed to highlight the city’s rich cultural heritage while encouraging participants to see Kathmandu from new and thought-provoking perspectives.

Pyari collaborated with KTM Acu Physio to conduct a mind-body wellness workshop focused on understanding how stress, pain, and emotions manifest in the body. In order to recognize and release these patterns, participants used acupuncture and acupressure procedures, which promoted improved mental health and bodily awareness. The session provided a safe and supportive space for participants to share experiences, contributing to a mutual learning environment.

Pyari hosted the second cohort of researchers from Germany to engage in discussions around sexual and reproductive health (SRH) education. The conversations explored their experiences, insights, and challenges, highlighting that struggles in SRH education are not unique to one context. In order to promote shared learning and global views on reproductive health education, the exchange highlighted the significance of creating spaces for dialogue, and embracing opportunities to unlearn and relearn together.

Pyari was thrilled to participate in both editions of “Mero Mahinawari Hariyo”, an initiative by Eco Sathi Nepal, Period Kaakura, and Untold Period Stories. The events featured period tracking bracelets and a heartfelt letter exchange for menstruators, fostering meaningful conversations around menstrual health. The initiative provided a platform for connection, dialogue, and awareness, reflecting Pyari’s ongoing commitment to creating spaces where menstruation is normalised, celebrated, and discussed openly.

Pyari hosted “Sparsha ko Sanket,” a workshop focused on consent, boundaries, and bodily autonomy for individuals with Down Syndrome, in collaboration with Sudus Creation and Kalashala Nepal. The session created an inclusive and interactive space where participants could learn to understand their own boundaries, practice self-advocacy, and express themselves confidently.

Pyari partnered with Plum For All to conduct another engaging period education workshop, this time exploring period blood colors and consistency and their links to internal health. The session creatively integrated popular culture elements, including a Taylor Swift-themed approach, to make learning interactive and relatable. Participants were encouraged to understand their bodies, ask questions, and engage in open dialogue, combining education with fun and cultural connection

On November 15, Pyari organized a fundraising marathon in collaboration with Artha Run Club, engaging over 500 participants running for a social cause. The event helped raise awareness about Pyari’s work, strengthen community connections, and enhance organisational visibility and branding, while inspiring participants to actively support the cause.

Pyari organized a Speed Dating event for singles on Valentine’s Day, creating a fun and interactive space for participants to connect, socialize, and build new relationships at Cinnamon Garden, Kathmandu. Attendees had the opportunity to meet new people, make friends, and practice social confidence in a lighthearted and engaging environment.

Naya Paila: Ananda Bhairav School
Pyari piloted Naya Paila, a 10-week sexual and reproductive health (SRH) education program, at Shree Ananda Bhairav Secondary School. The program, which covers subjects like puberty, menstrual and reproductive health, consent, boundaries, and emotional well-being, was created to make learning practical, honest, and interesting.

Sparsa Ambassador Program
Pyari travelled to Sauraha to facilitate a 6-day bootcamp to teach the facilitators on SRHR-related topics and pedagogy, so the ambassadors will be able to conduct the session in their respective communities and schools in future.

Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026
Pyari conducted a public art program in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, to celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day. The program brought together over 100 participants who painted, interviewed and discussed Menstrual hygiene. It was also done to mark Pyari’s 2 year anniversery.
